Selon certaines croyances humaines issues de notre culture occidentale, cet animal merveilleux est un messager, un télépathe ou un guide spirituel, révélant à un petit nombre d’élus les clés d’un mieux-être pour l’espèce humaine. Depuis déjà une vingtaine d’années, il est aussi médiateur dans des thérapies traitant des enfants souffrant de handicaps moteurs ou psychologiques et dans des programmes de développement personnel destinés à des adultes malmenés par le stress de la vie. Le monde sensori-moteur et cognitif du dauphin, les fondements de ces croyances et les arguments (pseudo) scientifiques justifiant le pouvoir du dauphin, mais aussi les conséquences de certains comportements humains sur la survie de l’animal sauvage, méritent d’être examinés attentivement. |
