Summary, etc. | RésuméLa distinction établie par Winnicott entre rêvasser, rêver et imaginer, permet de construire une grille d’interprétation des usages d’Internet qui nous affranchit d’une interprétation en termes d’addiction. La rêvasserie prend du temps, de l’énergie, mais ne participe ni à la vie réelle, ni à la vie imaginaire. Les rêveries sont des constructions mentales qui mettent en scène la réalisation de désirs intimes du sujet. Enfin, l’imagination est centrée sur la transformation de la vie réelle. L’internaute peut utiliser les mondes virtuels : comme refuge pour éviter de penser à une situation traumatique impossible à élaborer ; comme espace de mise en scène de ses désirs intimes ; ou comme interface pour rencontrer et transformer la réalité. |

Summary, etc. | The distinction – established by Winnicott – between daydreams, dreams and imaginings permits to set up an interpretation grid of the different way to use Internet. It releases us from the interpretations in terms of addiction. Daydreams take time and energy but participate neither in real life nor in imaginary life. Reveries are mental creations which stage the realisation of inner desires. Finally, imagination is based on the transformation of real life. Internet users can use virtual universes as a refuge in order to avoid thoughts about traumatising situations which are impossible to put together. They can also use virtual universes as places where they can stage their inner desires – or as an interface to meet and change the reality. |
