| Summary, etc. | À partir de son expérience d’expert psychologue au tribunal de justice de São Paulo, l’auteur présente l’adoption au Brésil, commente les procédures d’adoption nationale et internationale, ainsi que les défis et les difficultés, et donne des chiffres concernant les enfants et les adolescents adoptables et les familles postulantes. Elle expose l’accompagnement pendant le processus d’adoption, dès l’évaluation des candidats, en passant par la préparation des enfants et des adolescents, la période du rapprochement dans le foyer d’accueil, le stage de vie commune et la postadoption. La conclusion de l’auteur est positive : les bénéfices l’emportent sur les obstacles, puisqu’il existe aujourd’hui une plus grande maîtrise des connaissances, une meilleure gestion des situations difficiles, ainsi qu’un travail transdisciplinaire entre le réseau des services et le système de garantie des droits. |

| Summary, etc. | The author presents adoption in Brazil based on her own experience as an expert psychologist of the Court of Justice. She comments upon the process of national and international adoption as well as challenges and difficulties within the process. Statistics concerning children and adolescents available for adoption and prospective adoptive families are also given. The assessment during the adoption process is also discussed, from the evaluation of applicant families to children’s and adolescents’ preparation, the contact period of approach at the children’s shelter, the adjustment stage and the national and international post-adoption period. The paper concludes that the accomplishments overcome the obstacles, for there is nowadays a larger mastery of knowledge in the field of adoption, a better management of difficult situations as well as a transdisciplinary work between the social services network and the judiciary system. |
