| Summary, etc. | Dans une société moderne, les enfants seraient à protéger contre les mauvaises conditions de vie qu’ils subissent, mais aussi, dans certains cas, contre eux-mêmes. Comment sont nées les politiques et les pratiques de protection ? Quelles variables expliquent leur évolution depuis deux siècles ? Comment, notamment, se combine la protection qui leur est due par les autorités publiques et la protection familiale ? Cette contribution examine les trois âges de la protection de l’enfance : quand l’enfant n’est qu’objet de droits, quand l’action publique tend à le reconnaître comme sujet de droit et sujet clinique, quand l’enfant redevient une figure incertaine. |
