Summary, etc. La rencontre analytique avec l’adolescent transgenre peut mettre à mal l’analyste en bousculant son attitude analytique, que ce soit en ce qui concerne sa position de neutralité bienveillante, son positionnement hors du champ de la pathologie et surtout son écoute. L’auteur se propose, au travers de ses réflexions engendrées par la rencontre avec des adolescents « transgenre », de réfléchir aux multiples embarras qui se présentent à lui et à leurs conséquences sur sa pratique. Le recours aux théories de W.R. Bion en ce qui concerne la position de l’analyste (« sans mémoire, sans désir », atonement) aide à sortir de ces embarras en exigeant une écoute psychanalytique particulièrement rigoureuse. L’auteur questionne ce que pourrait être la valeur pour ces adolescents d’être eux-mêmes un embarras.

The writer offers up, from across his reflexion brought about by meeting transgender adolescents, thoughts on the multiple difficulties he has been faced with and their consequences on his practice. Recourse to WR Bion’s theories concerning the position of the analyst («without memory, without desire», atonement) helps to find a way out from these difficulties by requiring particularly rigourous psychoanalytical listening. The writer wonders what could be the value for these adolescents, themselves an embarassment.
