Le film et son héro(ïne) font énigme ? Qu’en est-il de la castration ? Qu’en est-il du genre ? Qu’en est-il de l’identité sexuée ? Qu’en est-il du faire semblant ? La mère enceinte assigne sa fille à en être une. La petite sœur s’amuse de ce travestissement. Le père se dérobe face à cette question. Faille dans la transmission ? Comment le genre, l’identité sexuée et le choix d’objet sexuel s’articulent-ils dans cette histoire ? Sans apporter de réponses, la filmographie de la réalisatrice nous offre des scénarios touchants, sensibles, sources de pensée. |

The pregnant mother assigns motherhood to her daughter. The little sister finds the disguise amusing. The father shies away from this question. Is there a breach in transmission? How do gender, sexual identity and choice of sex object articulate in this story? Without providing a reply the director’s filming gives us moving and sensitive scenes, and... food for thought. |
