Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The neuro-functional clinical approach throws light on the sensory-motor and emotional particularities that alter the interactions of the very young autistic child with others and the development of his repertoire of personal activity and communication. This social dyspraxia is, as we now know, linked to developmental disorders of the intracerebral nerve networks known as the “social brain”. Cellular and molecular studies as well as genetics point towards certain key-substances that might form the basis of future connectivity drugs. Currently, there is no pharmacological treatment that cures autism. We know that early, targeted and coordinated educative and reeducative interventions make it possible, thanks to cerebral plasticity, to stimulate the dynamics of the development of the intracerebral networks and to improve adaptive functioning skills and communication throughout life. |
