Summary, etc. | La haine renvoie à un sentiment violent de rejet et de volonté de nuire à l’autre. Dans l’exercice de mon métier de travailleur social, j’ai rarement été confronté à des situations de haine dans lesquelles j’ai pu me sentir agressé. Les personnes prises dans cet état exprimaient un fort ressentiment qui parfois n’arrivait pas à définir son objet. C’était le cas d’adolescents lorsque j’intervenais sur des dispositifs de protection de l’enfance. Être confronté à ces situations est difficile pour les professionnels. C’est pourquoi, lorsque j’ai pris des responsabilités de direction d’établissement d’accueil pour des adolescents, j’ai favorisé la mise en place d’une culture institutionnelle permettant l’élaboration d’une pensée et l’engagement des professionnels. Pour sortir de ces situations de haine, les prestations de soin et d’éducatif doivent intégrer une dimension de reconnaissance de la personne en difficulté. |

Summary, etc. | Hatred is related to violent feelings of rejection and a willingness to harm others. In my practice as a social worker, I have rarely been faced with situations of hatred in which I felt threatened. The persons who were in this state expressed strong feelings of resentment which sometimes did not succeed in defining their object. This was the case of adolescents when I intervened in child protection settings. Being confronted with these situations is difficult for the professionals. That is why, when I became the director of a care establishment for adolescents, I encouraged the creation of an institutional culture that permitted the elaboration of the professionals’ own ways of thinking and commitment. To overcome these situations of hatred, the provision of care and education must integrate a dimension of recognition of the person in difficulty. |
