| Summary, etc. | Ce point de vue défend quelques idées à propos du rôle de la science et de sa place dans les discours et les décisions politiques. Il y a besoin de s’entendre sur le mot « politique » et sur la nécessité d’un travail individuel et collectif pour aboutir à « un avis éclairé ». Il faut un peu de courage pour affronter ce qui est considéré souvent comme le bien-pensant. Pourquoi tant de fausses idées ? L’utilisation de certains concepts peut s’avérer très dangereuse, par exemple, celui de « nature humaine ». Face à une certaine mise en cause du rationalisme et de la démarche scientifique, des résistances s’organisent par l’intermédiaire de personnes, de scientifiques, de revues et de livres. La volonté de l’auteur n’est que d’appeler à un débat et à l’engagement des scientifiques au sujet du titre de cette contribution. |

Agreement must be reached on the meaning of the word policy and the need for individual and collective work to reach an “informed opinion”. It takes courage to confront what are often seen as right-minded ideas. Why are there so many false ideas? The use of certain concepts may prove dangerous, for example, that of “human nature”. As rationalism and the scientific approach are somewhat undermined, resistance is forming through people, scientists, books, and journals. The author seeks only to call for debate and for scientists to take a stand on the subject of this contribution. |
