| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe cinéma naît d’un cadre vide. Le cinéaste pioche dans la réalité, y intègre un espace, puis faire entrer l’élément humain. Ce nouvel espace-temps devient un lieu de vie propre, qui, à travers nous, agit comme une autre réalité, mais cloi- sonnée. Ainsi, tout ce qui est hors-cadre est inexistant, comme mort. Alors que se passe-t-il justement quand le cinéma traite de cette inconnue qu’est la mort ? Et bien il lui donne sens. La mort au cinéma est une réponse, une image du vide. À travers mon premier court métrage, j’ai tenté de le faire parler... |

| Summary, etc. | Cinema is born from an empty frame. The filmmaker picks pieces from out of reality, integrates them into space and then introduces a human element. This new space-time continuum becomes a specific place in which life is lived out, acting as an alternative reality, but with its own boundaries. Can we thus argue that whatever is outside this frame does not exist, or is a dead entity ? In this light, what happens when cinema takes death as its subject matter ? We might argue that it gives it a meaning. Death in cinema is an answer, an image of emp- tiness. My own first short movie, is an endeavour to grant it the power of speech... |
