Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Filming Death in War Fiction Films : from Captivating the Audience to Questions of an Ethical NatureIn every account of war, death plays a central role. Yet death is also a highly specific cinematographic object, in that cinema allows us to show the process of death in real time. It is for this reason that this article explores the means by which death is portrayed in war films – should it be filmed in such a way as to best captivate and draw in the public or should it, like any other representation of death, be addressed from the standpoint of ethical issues ? |
