| Summary, etc. | Jusqu’à présent, la prostitution en Corse n’a jamais été étudiée. Le phénomène paraît, en outre, totalement invisible lorsque l’on s’intéresse aux statistiques publiques. Dans un même temps, les « caboulots » – ces bars à hôtesses où les relations sexuelles tarifées sont loin d’être exceptionnelles – paraissent connus de tous. Cet article a pour ambition d’explorer ce paradoxe et, ainsi, de mettre au jour certaines caractéristiques de la prostitution féminine en Corse. Sur la base d’une recherche qualitative réalisée entre 2004 et 2013 et d’appuis théoriques concernant le trafic de femmes, il retrace, tout d’abord, les caractéristiques des caboulots et des femmes qui y exercent. Il s’intéresse, ensuite, à l’ancrage de ces lieux dans des contextes, ruraux et urbains, différenciés. Il questionne, enfin, l’ambivalence de ces lieux au vu des règles et des normes sociales. |

| Summary, etc. | Female Prostitution in Corsica : the Ambivalence of the “ Caboulots” BarsFemale prostitution in Corsica has never until now been studied. The phenomenon appears indeed totally invisible when considered from the point of view of public statistics. At the same time, the “ caboulots” – those “hostess bars” where transactional sex is far from being exceptional – seem known to all. This article has the ambition to investigate this paradox and so to throw light on certain characteristics of female prostitution in Corsica. On the basis of a qualitative research carried out between 2004 and 2013 and supported by theories concerning the trafficking of women, it first of al identifies the characteristics of the “ caboulots” and of the women who practice there. It then focusses on the anchoring of these places in differentiated rural and urban contexts. Finally it raises questions concerning the ambivalence of these places as understood from the point of view of the social rules and social. |

Además, el fenómeno parece totalmente invisible a la luz de las estadísticas públicas. Sin embargo, al mismo tiempo, los “ caboulots” – esos bares con camareras en los que las relaciones sexuales tarifadas no son precisamente excepcionales – parecen conocidos por todos. Este artículo tiene como objetivo explorar esta paradoja y así arrojar luz sobre ciertas características de la prostitución femenina en Córcega. Basándose en una investigación cualitativa realizada entre 2004 y 2013 y en apoyos teóricos sobre la trata de mujeres, traza, en primer lugar, las características de los “ caboulots” y de las mujeres que trabajan en ellos ; y después, se interesa por la implantación de estos lugares en contextos diferenciados, rurales y urbanos. Por último, discute la ambivalencia de estos lugares en vista de las reglas y normas sociales. |
