À chaque fois, il s’agissait pour lui de trouver un appui ou une confirmation biologique au caractère prématuré de la naissance chez l’homme (dont on connaît l’importance dans la construction du « stade du miroir »). Après un rappel des références faites par Lacan à cette théorie, cet article en présente son auteur, l’anatomiste hollandais L. Bolk, sa genèse puis en expose les principales caractéristiques, il en esquisse enfin la réception dans le milieu psychanalytique. |

| Summary, etc. | From 1938 to 1975, Lacan regularly referred to a theory known as “fœtalisation”. It was a means for him, of finding a support, or biological confirmation, for the premature nature of birth in man (which became so important in the construction of « the mirror stage »). After a reminder of the references made by Lacan to this theory, this article presents its author, the Dutch anatomist Louis Bolk, and lays out its principal characteristics. It concludes with an outline of its reception in psychoanalytic circles. |
