| Summary, etc. | RésuméMinorité linguistique au statut national semblable à celui des Finlandais, les suédophones ont consolidé leur position notamment à l’université d’Åbo et la Société littéraire suédoise. Une ethnologie florissante s’est développée avec une chaire d’ethnologie créée à Turku en 1919 et à Helsinki, en 1937, des Archives de culture populaire. Récemment, ces ethnologues se sont intéressés au littoral, à la ville, aux stéréotypes ethniques, aux mentalités historiques, à la culture des groupes d’âge, aux campagnes. Les contacts noués avec les ethnologues scandinaves et allemands ont conduit avec le changement de paradigme des années 1980, à une importance accrue, attribuée aux modes de vie, aux attitudes modernes et postmodernes aussi bien qu’à la vie matérielle. |

| Summary, etc. | As a language minority with the same national status as the Finns Swedishspeaking ethnologists have consolidated their position with institutions such as the Swedish Åbo Akademi University and the Swedish Literary Society. A flourishing ethnology has developed with the creation of a chair of ethnology in Turku in 1919 and of Folk Culture Archives in Helsinki in 1937. In the recent decades this ethnology has focused on coastal and urban studies, ethnic stereotypes, historical mentalities, the culture of age groups, and rural areas. Close contacts with Scandinavian and German ethnologists resulted in a shift of paradigm in the 1980s, more weight being put upon life modes, modern and postmodern attitudes as well as material life. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungAls eine sprachwissenschaftliche Minorität in Finnland, die einen ähnlichen nationalen Status wie derjenige der Finnen hat, haben die schwedisch-sprechenden Ethnologen ihre Stellung mit Institutionen wie der akademischen Abo Universität und der schwedischen Literaturgesellschaft verstärkt. Eine blühende Ethnologie hat sich entwickelt mit der Schöpfung eines Lehrstuhls für Ethnologie in Turku in 1919 und der Volkskulturarchiven in Helsinki in 1937. In den letzten Jahrzehnten konzentrierte die Ethnologie auf Küsten- und Stadtforschungen, ethnische Stereotypen, historische Mentalitäten, Altersgruppenkultur und ländliche Gegenden.
