It designates a vague portion of space that geographers ever tried to define and that has been given multiple definitions. After analysing the evolution of this notion in the 20th century we propose a definition of its present use. |

Er bezeichnet einen unbestimmten Raumabschnitt, den die Geographen immer versucht haben zu bestimmen und dem mehrere Definitionen gegeben wurden. Nach einer Analyse der Änderung dieses Begriffs während des 20. Jahrhunderts, schlagen wir eine Definition seines gegenwärtigen Gebrauchs vor. |
