| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe 28 mars 2002, les membres de l’Association des anciens Travailleurs Renault de l’Île Seguin ( atris) organisaient une réunion publique, dix ans après la sortie de la dernière voiture des chaînes de montage de Boulogne-Billancourt. La fermeture de cette usine, longtemps considérée comme un laboratoire social, symbole de la croissance industrielle des « Trente Glorieuses », a été durement vécue par ses salariés, contraints de quitter un site que nombre d’entre eux croyaient pérenne. Elle a aussi laissé à l’abandon un territoire jusqu’alors fortement marqué par la culture ouvrière. Tandis que l’île Seguin est en cours de destruction, aucun espace n’est prévu pour préserver les mémoires du site. Face au risque d’oubli, les membres de l’ atris, que l’auteur a rencontrés, témoignent de leur passé ouvrier et militant par la contribution à des films, expositions ou publications. Leurs discours révèlent le refus d’accepter la fermeture en demeurant dans une temporalité de l’« avant ». Mais par leur revendication d’obtenir réparation pour les discriminations qu’ils estiment avoir subies, ils expriment aussi l’espoir de pouvoir transmettre leur vécu d’usine et de « tourner la page ». |

| Summary, etc. | On March 28th 2002 the members of the Association of former Seguin Island Renault Workers organized a public meeting ten years after the production of the last car on the assembly lines of Boulogne-Billancourt. The closure of this factory that had long been considered a social laboratory and the symbol of industrial growth during « les Trente Glorieuses » was a hard experience to the salaried workers who were forced to leave a place that in their opinion was to last for ever. It also left an industrial wasteland strongly marked by working culture. While the Seguin island factory is going to be demolished, no space is foreseen to preserve the memories of the site. In view of the risk of oblivion the members of the association met by the author testify to their past as worker and militant by contributing to films, exhibitions or publications. Their discourses reveal their refusal to accept the closure by staying in a temporality of the « before ». But by demanding reparation for the discriminations they consider to have suffered they also express their hope to transmit their experience in the factory and to « turn the page ». |

März 2002 organisierten die Mitglieder des Vereins der ehemaligen Renault Arbeiter auf der Insel Seguin eine öffentliche Versammlung zehn Jahre nach dem letzten Wagenproduktion an den Montagebändern in Boulogne-Billancourt. Die Schliessung dieser Fabrik, die lange als ein soziales Laboratorium und das Symbol des industriellen Wachstums während der Trente Glorieuses galt, war ein schweres Erlebnis für die Arbeitnehmer, die gezwungen waren, einen Arbeitsplatz zu verlassen, der für immer dauern sollte. Diese Schliessung liess auch ungenützt ein Gelände, das bis dahin stark von der Arbeiterkultur geprägt war. Während die Fabrikhallen der Insel Seguin zerstört werden müssen, wird kein Platz vorgesehen, um die Gedächtnisse des Ortes zu bewahren. Angesichts der Gefahr der Vergessenheit zeugen die von dem Autor getroffenen Vereinsmitglieder von ihrer Vergangenheit als Arbeiter und Militant, indem sie zu Filmen, Ausstellungen oder Publikationen beitragen. Ihre Reden verraten ihre Verweigerung, die Schliessung zu akzeptieren, indem sie in einer Temporalität der Zeit « vorher » bleiben. Aber durch ihre Ansprüche auf Genugtuung für die Schaden, die sie erlebt hätten, drücken sie auch ihre Hoffnung aus, ihr Erlebnis in der Fabrik zu übertragen und das Vergangene zu vergessen. |
