Il examine comment l’édification d’un Centre des landes de bruyère sur la côte ouest de la Norvège fut la cause d’un conflit entre la population locale et les chercheurs qui participèrent au projet. Le Centre a été primé par l’Unesco1, bien que la réussite du projet, notamment la collaboration avec les autochtones, soit sujette à caution. Ce conflit s’explique en partie par le caractère hybride des landes de bruyère : c’est un type de nature cultivée qui requiert une exploitation intensive pour conserver sa spécificité. | Summary, etc. | This article explores the challenges and paradoxes of trying to recreate landscapes of the past and discusses how the cultural and physical construction of a Heathland centre on the west coast of Norway caused conflicts between the local population and the scientists involved in the project. The Heathland centre received a Unesco prize for the excellent cooperation with local stakeholders, although the factual collaboration with the locals was questionable. Part of this conflict may be explained by the hybrid nature of heathlands, as it is a cultivated form of nature that needs extensive utilisation and management to retain its characteristics, and because the practical and economical reasons for maintaining them have disappeared. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungDieser Artikel beschäftigt sich mit den Schwierigkeiten, die die Wiederbelebung einer vergangen Landschaft mit sich bringt. Dabei untersucht der Autor, inwiefern die Errichtung des Zentrums Heidelandschaft an der Westküste Norwegens zu einem Konflikt zwischen der lokalen Bevölkerung und den am Projekt beteiligten Wissenschaftlern geführt hat. Das Zentrum wurde von der unesco prämiert wenngleich sein Erfolg, vor allem im Hinblick auf die Zusammenarbeit mit den Einheimischen, zwiespältig erscheint. Der entstandene Konflikt erklärt sich sowohl durch den hybriden Charakter der Heidelandschaft (eine intensiv pflegebedürftige, kultivierte Natur) als auch durch den Wegfall praktischer und wirtschaftlicher Gründe, die bisher für den Erhalt der Landschaft sprachen. |
