| Summary, etc. | Résumé Le téléphone mobile joue un rôle clé dans l’organisation de la sociabilité adolescente. Les analyses présentées ici s’appuient sur des enquêtes ethnographiques focalisées sur les usages du téléphone mobile en situation scolaire. Ce cadre social resserré et d’emblée collectif permet de quitter la seule perspective de la communication interpersonnelle. Il invite à mettre en avant des usages partagés du mobile et à analyser des manières d’être ensemble. Dans un tel contexte normatif, ce que les élèves font avec leur mobile révèle aussi bien leurs rapports aux règles et aux interdits que la teneur des relations qu’ils entretiennent avec un monde d’adultes qui ne se réduit pas à celui des parents. |

| Summary, etc. | Mobile phones play a major role in teenager sociability. Our analyses are based on ethnographic observations focused on their uses in school. This particular social context which is intrinsically a collective one allows us to go beyond the statement that mobile phone is only an interpersonal communication tool. That leads us to expose shared uses and to explore young people’s ways of being together. In this normative context what teenagers do with their cell phones reveals their relationships to rules and limits and their relationships within an adult world which is not limited to family. |

| Summary, etc. | Zusammenfassung Das Handy spielt in der Phase des Erwachsenwerdens eine zentrale Rolle. Die hier vorgestellten Ergebnisse stützen sich auf eine ethnographische Untersuchung der Handy-Benutzung unter Schülern. Der enge soziale Rahmen der Schule als spontanes Kollektiv ermöglicht es dabei, über die Perspektive der alleinigen zwischenmenschlichen Kommunikation hinauszublicken und das gemeinsame Nutzen des Handys sowie den Umgangs miteinander in den Vordergrund zu stellen. Innerhalb dieses normativen Rahmens zeigen sich im Umgang der Schüler mit ihren Handys sowohl ihre Beziehung zu Regeln und Verboten wie auch ihre Beziehung zur Welt der Erwachsenen, die sich nicht allein auf ihre Eltern beschränkt. |
