| Summary, etc. | RésuméContrairement à ce que l’on croit souvent, le nombre d’espèces vivant en ville a beaucoup augmenté depuis un siècle. La ville présente une mosaïque de milieux très variés accueillant quantité d’oiseaux d’origines et d’espèces différentes, et pour certaines inattendues. Il s’agit essentiellement d’oiseaux forestiers, mais aussi de milieux rupestres ou aquatiques et, plus rarement, de milieux ouverts. Ces espèces ont modifié leurs habitudes : site du nid, régime alimentaire, rythme de vie, tolérance à l’espèce humaine. Des menaces pèsent cependant. Il y a la pollution, mais aussi la volonté moderne d’évoluer dans un monde « parfait » : propre, sans défauts ni insectes ou herbes folles. Initiatives individuelles, mesures d’aménagement de la ville ou sensibilisation du grand public tentent aujourd’hui d’y répondre. |

| Summary, etc. | Contrary to what could be believed, the variety of birds living in cities has very much increased over the century and continues to do so. The city offers a rich diversity of milieux which are hosts to varied species, often of rather unexpected origin. They belong to the category of forest birds, but also to rock or aquatic birds. City birds have modified their habits as regards nesting, eating, and the company of man. However they are threatened by pollution and also by the desire of modern life to live in a “perfect” world, clean, without insects or weeds. Individual initiatives, urban public policies and citizen’s movements try to put up with these threats. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungGanz im Gegensatz zu dem was man glauben könnte, hat sich die Artenvielfalt in den Städten innerhalb des letzten Jahrhunderts vermehrt und tut dies noch. Die Stadt eröffnet ein Mosaik an Lebensräumen unterschiedlichster Art, die eine große Vielfalt an Vögeln beherbergen - eine Vielfalt, die viele nicht erwartet hätten. Es handelt sich dabei vor allem um Waldvögel, aber auch um Felsenvögel oder Wasservögel. Die Stadtvögel haben ihre Gewohnheiten angepasst : Nestbau, Ernährung, Lebensrhythmus, Umgang mit Menschen. Dennoch gibt es auch Gefahren wie zum Beispiel die Umweltverschmutzung oder auch der Wunsch in einer perfekten Welt zu leben - sauber, ohne Insekten oder Unkraut. Vereinzelte Initiativen machen auf bestehende städtebaulichen Herausforderungen aufmerksam, indem sie die Bevölkerung zu sensibilisieren versuchen. |
