| Summary, etc. | RésuméGrâce à une périodisation en trois époques qui va de 1920 à 2010, il est rappelé que pour la France la question de la mise en valeur puis de la modernisation et du développement a été essentiellement appliquée dans les colonies africaines. Cette situation explique que le champ des recherches appliquées puis fondamentales (empiriques et théoriques) en sciences sociales se soit cantonné, de fait, à ce seul espace géopolitique, malgré une diversification plus marquée depuis les années 1980 (Amériques, Asie). Même après une modification méthodologique profonde des objets à étudier (les opérations elles-mêmes et non les seuls bénéficiaires), le modèle sociétal africain est demeuré le référent de base. |

| Summary, etc. | Black Africa as a paradigm founder of French and Francophone Social Sciences of Development (1920-2010)Between 1920 and 2010 France experiences three periods in the matter of modernisation and development of its former colonies then of the third world countries. These take place for various political and historical reasons mostly in Black Africa. Through almost a century, applied as well as fundamental field research, on both empirical and theoretical levels, have been based on this geo-political region. In the 1980 other parts of the world (Latin America, Asia) come to the fore. But the methodological change of social science orientations (the study of development operations and not only the beneficiaries of the programs) does not seem to put into question the implicit reference to the model of black African societies. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungDieser Artikel zeigt mit Hilfe einer Einteilung des Zeitraumes von 1920-2010 in drei Phasen nach, dass sich für Frankreich die Frage nach der Bewertung und Modernisierung der Entwicklungspolitik vor allem in Bezug auf die ehemaligen afrikanischen Kolonien stellt. Eine Tatsache, die dazu geführt hat, dass das Forschungsfeld Entwicklungspolitik sich in Frankreich sowohl in der empirischen als auch in der theoretischen Sozialforschung vor allem auf den afrikanischen Raum bezieht, wenngleich das Forschungsfeld allgemein, vor allem in den 1980er Jahren, ebenso auf Amerika und Asien ausgedehnt wurde. Auch nach tiefgreifenden methodologischen Reformen (besonders der Forschungsfragen und nicht allein der Ziele) ist das afrikanische Gesellschaftsmodell in Frankreich das Referenzmodell der wissenschaftlichen Analysen geblieben. |
