Puis les auteurs s’intéressent aux effets de cette citadinité sur l’identité de la ville en portant leur attention sur la forme d’attractivité urbaine à l’œuvre dans ce phénomène, et en mettant au jour les logiques symboliques de cet imaginaire de Paris qui circule. C’est ce rapport au mythe de la ville qui constitue la « parisianité ». |

We examine their routines, the kind of identity they assume in relation to the city and Parisians’ perceptions of them. We then look at the consequences of their presence for the city itself and at why Paris is attractive to these people, while highlighting the symbolic journeys they imagine themselves making through the city. In dialogue with local residents and City Hall, these foreigners are caught up in the construction of what it means to be Parisian. |
