Organisés dans Manhattan et Brooklyn, ces concours très attendus témoignent du rapport nostalgique de la communauté française à certains motifs de la culture populaire qu’elle a perdus en s’installant aux États-Unis. Le pari de faire rentrer toute la « France de son enfance » dans un concours de boules reflète l’intensité des motivations sous-jacentes et permet de créer des liens nouveaux avec la Provence comme horizon. |
