| Summary, etc. | Le rapport de l’enfant à l’espace a intéressé les psychologues, beaucoup moins les ethnologues. Pourtant, à partir de ses lieux et de ses territoires, on peut mesurer l’importance de ceux qui, successivement, l’ont « fait grandir ». Nous sommes dans les Pyrénées, en compagnie d’un jeune citadin (l’auteur) confronté à la montagne, été après été, de ses 8-9 ans à la fin de son adolescence. Avec ses frères et sœurs, il s’enhardit, des collines entourant leur maison de vacances familiale jusqu’aux aux sommets de la « haute » montagne qu’il escalade, non sans peur ni appréhension. La géographie : un lieu pour un rite d’initiation. |

| Summary, etc. | Psychologists have studied the relationship of the child with his space, anthropologists much less so. And yet, attention to the child’s space and surroundings can help take the measure of those which, in succession, have helped him “grow”. We are in the Pyrénées, with a young city-dweller (the author), challenged by mountains, summer after summer, from a young age of 8 or 9 until the end of his adolescence. With his brothers and sisters, he gets more daring, starting with the hills surrounding his family summer home, until he tackles the summits of “high mountain” which he climbs, however not without fear and apprehension. Sin embargo, a partir de sus lugares y de sus territorios, se puede medir la importancia de los que sucesivamente le han « hecho crecer ». Estamos en los Pirineos, en compañía de un joven urbanita (el autor) confrontado a la montaña verano tras verano, de los 8-9 años hasta el final de su adolescencia. Con sus hermanos y hermanas, se atreve, yendo desde las colinas que rodean la casa de veraneo hasta las cumbres de la « alta montaña » que escala con algo de miedo y aprehensión. La geografía : un lugar por un rito de iniciación. |

Wir befinden uns in den Pyrenäen in Begleitung eines jungen Städters (dem Autoren) der Jahr für Jahr, von seinem 8. Lebensjahr bis hin zu seiner Jugend mit der Bergwelt konfrontiert ist.
