| Summary, etc. | Pour répondre à l’invitation du symposium de lier ensemble les mots liberté et vérité, Céline Rohmer s’intéresse à la manière dont l’Épître aux Galates réfléchit leur dépendance. Pour défendre la liberté que la vérité de l’Évangile donne aux Galates, Paul s’emploie à relire leur trajectoire en faisant mémoire de la beauté de leur course (Ga 5,7). En trois lieux textuels de l’Épître (Ga 4,12-20 ; 5,1-13 ; 6,1-10), l’apôtre laisse ainsi entrevoir une nouvelle compréhension de la beauté/καλὸν ( kalòn), qu’il distingue du bien/ἁγαθον ( ágathon) et comprend comme la mise en œuvre de la liberté offerte depuis et par la vérité de l’Évangile. Cet article met au jour une dimension esthétique de l’Épître aux Galates, susceptible de donner sens à toute trajectoire singulière que la vérité de l’Évangile initie. |

| Summary, etc. | To reply to the invitation from the symposium to link the words liberty and truth, Céline Rohmer looks at the way the Letter to the Galatians reflects their dependence. To defend the liberty that the truth of the Gospel gives to the Galatians, Paul recalls their trajectory, reminding them of its beauty (Gal 5 :7). In three places in the Letter (Gal 4 :12-20, 5 :1-13, 6 :1-10), the Apostle shows a new comprehension of beauty/καλὸν ( kalòn), as different to good/ἀγαθον ( ágathon) and as an implementation of the liberty offered since and through the truth of the Gospel. This article reveals an aesthetic dimension of the Letter to the Galatians, likely to lend meaning to any unique trajectory that the truth of the Gospel initiates. |
