| Summary, etc. | Les jeunes issus de l’adoption internationale, en Catalogne, convoquent de manière paradoxale la figure de l’étranger décrite par Simmel : à la fois proches et lointains ; semblables pour avoir vécu la majeure partie de leur vie au sein de la population dont leurs parents sont originaires et pourtant souvent considérés comme différents. En effet, bien qu’ils soient pleinement citoyens du lieu où ils ont grandi, bon nombre d’entre eux ne sont pas perçus de cette manière par leurs concitoyens dans les lieux publics. C’est ce paradoxe que nous analyserons ici. Comment ces jeunes adoptés négocient-ils leur présence au sein de la société catalane et quelle place celle-ci leur réserve-t-elle ? |

| Summary, etc. | At the beginning of the xxi century, young people adopted through international adoption in Barcelona recall in a paradoxical way the figure of the stranger as described by Simmel at the beginning of last century. They are perceived both as close and distant : close as they have grown up most of their life in the society of which their adoptive parents are native and yet so often seen as different because of their appearance. Indeed, although they consider themselves fully citizens of the place where they are living, many of them are not perceived like such by others when they are in public spaces. It is this paradox we analyze here. How do these young adopted people negotiate their presence in the Catalan society and which place is made for them? |

| Summary, etc. | Los y las jóvenes procedentes de la adopción internacional, iniciada en Catalunya hace unos veinte años, convocan de manera paradojal la figura del extranjero descrita por Simmel: a la vez cercanos y lejanos; similares por haber vivido la mayoría de su vida entre una población de la cual sus familias adoptivas padres adoptivos son originarias y, sin embargo, a menudo considerados como distintos. En efecto, aunque sean plenamente ciudadanos del lugar en el cual han crecido, una gran parte de ellos no son percibidos de esta manera por sus conciudadanos en los espacios públicos. Aquí analizaremos la paradoja de cómo estos jóvenes adoptados negocian su lugar en la sociedad catalana y qué sitio le reserva esta. |

Obwohl sie Bürger des Ortes sind, an dem sie aufgewachsen sind, werden sie im öffentlichen Raum nicht als solche von ihren Mitbürgern wahrgenommen. Dieses Paradoxon wird in diesem Artikel analysiert. Wie verhandeln adoptierte Jugendliche ihre Anwesenheit in der katalonischen Gesellschaft und welcher Platz ist für sie eingeplant. |
