| Summary, etc. | À partir d’une historiographie du genre dans la révolution sandiniste et d’une enquête qualitative au long cours, cet article propose, d’abord, de comprendre par quels supports idéologiques et sociaux les dirigeants du Front Sandiniste de Libération Nationale ont défini et mobilisé « la femme nouvelle » nicaraguayenne. Il analyse ensuite l’importance et les formes de la participation révolutionnaire des femmes avant que le FSLN ne prenne le pouvoir. Il revient enfin sur les débuts du régime sandiniste (1979-1982) lors duquel l’emprise du FSLN sur les sociabilités configure un nouvel ordre de genre. |

| Summary, etc. | Based on a gender historiography of the Sandinista Revolution and a long-term qualitative study, this article first attempts to describe the ideological and social setting in which leaders of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (SNLF) defined and mobilized the “New Nicaraguan Woman.” Second, the article analyzes the forms of women’s participation in the revolution prior to the SNLF’s rise to power. The article concludes by returning to the early phases of the Sandinista regime (1979-1982), when the SNLF’s grip on sociability reconfigured a new gender order. |

Analiza en segundo lugar la importancia y las formas de participación revolucionaria de las mujeres antes que el FSLN tomara el poder. | Summary, etc. | Basierend auf einer Historiographie der Geschlechter in der sandinistischen Revolution und einer langangelegten, qualitativen Umfrage, versucht dieser Artikel zu verstehen, durch welche ideologischen und sozialen Mittel die Führer der Sandinistischen Nationalen Befreiungsfront die nicaraguanische „neue Frau“ definiert und mobilisiert haben.
