Il cherche aussi à resituer le mouvement puritain des années 1559–1642 dans l’historiographie de la Réforme anglaise et celle des causes de la Guerre Civile anglaise. La dernière partie de l’article propose une modélisation qui illustre les controverses suscitées par les difficultés à définir le puritanisme et à isoler les puritains des autres protestants anglais. |
