| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’analyse structurelle qualitative est un instrument visant à identifier et à reproduire, sous forme de graphique, le système explicatif qui est à la base du raisonnement individuel ou collectif. Cet article est basé sur un exercice de l’application d’un tel instrument à cinq textes majeurs qui traitent de la crise 2007-08. La mise en parallèle des caractéristiques des explications de chacun des cinq auteurs met en évidence la diversité de leurs vues. Certes, tous remettent en question le capitalisme financier, mais certains seulement dans son application récente, alors que d’autres s’interrogent sur ses fondements mêmes. |

| Summary, etc. | Qualitative Structural Analysis (QSA) is a tool for identifying and expressing graphically the explanatory system underlying individual or collective thinking. This article is based on exercise notes from the application of this tool to five major texts on the 2007-8 financial crisis. A comparative presentation of the principal causal factors as identified by each author, and their proposals, shows the broad diversity of their views. Although all criticize the effects of financial capitalism, some limit their criticism to its recent excesses while others call it into question as an organizing principle. |
