Summary, etc. | Cet article interroge les origines de l’essor de la professionnalisation, en France et en République tchèque, au cours des deux dernières décennies. La professionnalisation est comprise comme un volet de la politique universitaire dont l’objectif est d’adapter les formations universitaires à la demande du marché du travail. En distinguant trois dimensions à l’intérieur de cette politique (prescriptif, compétitif, discursif), l’article montre comment les spécificités des deux systèmes d’enseignement supérieur s’articulent avec les initiatives européennes et les tendances globales. Si la professionnalisation progresse dans les deux pays, elle relève de mécanismes et de principes différenciés. |

Summary, etc. | The article analyses the higher education public policy that seeks to increase relevance of the university education for the labour market. It tries to explain the rise of this policy in France and in the Czech Republic during the last 20 years. It distinguishes its three dimensions (prescriptive, competitive, discursive) in order to explore the links between the specificities of two national higher education systems, the European university policies and more general global trends. If the relevance policy has progressed in both countries, it has been based on different principles and triggered by divergent mechanisms in France and in the Czech Republic. |

Summary, etc. | Este artículo interroga los orígenes del auge de la profesionalización en Francia y en República Checa en las dos últimas décadas. La profesionalización se entiende como un aspecto de la política universitaria, cuyo objetivo es adaptar las formaciones universitarias a la demanda del mercado de trabajo. Distinguiendo tres dimensiones dentro de esta política (prescriptiva, competitiva, discursiva), el artículo muestra cómo las especificidades de los dos sistemas de enseñanza superior se articulan con las iniciativas europeas y las tendencias globales. Si bien la profesionalización progresa en los dos países, corresponde a mecanismos y principios diferenciados. |

Summary, etc. | In diesem Artikel wird der Ursprung der wachsenden Professionalisierung in Frankreich und der Tschechischen Republik in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten untersucht. Die Professionalisierung wird als ein Teil der Universitätspolitik verstanden, bei der es darum geht, die Universitätsausbildung an die Arbeitsmarktnachfrage anzupassen. Indem innerhalb dieser Politik zwischen drei Dimensionen unterschieden wird (präskriptiv, wettbewerbsfähig, diskursiv), zeigt der Artikel, wie sich die Besonderheiten der beiden Höheren Bildungssysteme mit den europäischen Initiativen und globalen Trends verknüpfen. Die Professionalisierung schreitet in den beiden Ländern fort, stützt sich aber auf unterschiedliche Mechanismen und Prinzipien. |
