| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | My body belongs to me, and is not the source of anyone’s honor Taking clinical practice as well as practices related to women’s sexuality as its base, this text is an attempt to read the emergence of the female body as a writing platform within the constantly changing Tunisian public sphere. Overly determined by culture and religion, the ideal self, as a projection of maternal narcissism, is characterized by death drives forcing the child’s femininity into birth. A mother, with a de-narcissized femininity and melancholic tones, whose female baby would be the heir. In other cases, it acts as a total foreclosure of all sexual representations at the hands of the mother. This drives the female subject to resort to subjectivating modalities that can at times be violent in order to root in bodily reality the missing signifier within the realm of the maternal and social Other which both recognizes and values female sexuality. Writing on the body appears as a "forcing" alluding to an existential claim and illustrates the calling into question of a social discourse that cannot be sustained within the context of current world transformations. |
