520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Well studied by North American sociologists, most of them feminist, the concept of the “battered woman who kills” does not explain all situations in which a woman kills her partner. This paper focuses on a clinical case where this concept does not apply as such, and shows how an independent and so-called “masculine” woman can regress into dominated thought when this alienation is related to her most archaic primary identifications. The purpose is to overcome the usual opposition between feminist sociology and clinical psychology, and to show how clinical analysis can enlighten the sociological approach.
