520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The home carer’s affective alibiThe ambiguity of the home-care context would allow us to believe that the feelings are on the basis of the carers’ dedication to the peopled in care, thus serving as an alibi to a minimum professional acknowledgement.Still this social intervention, based on the relationship (that is, on the learning about the other), is not any different than any other social intervention, in as much as the feelings are one of the relationship’s elements and not its premise or its foundation.Due to its intervention specificities, home-care also mobilizes representations and symbolic images that might get inappropriate projections in the way of the relationship. But paradoxically among the activities under the act 2-2002, home-care is surely one of those less submitted to professionalization. |
