Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Social intervention or the economy of feelings. Viewpoints of a sociologist and a SEN WorkerThat contribution aims at showing that social work requires a particular and demanding know-how that relies on life skills : an economy of feelings. From the account of experiences lived by a special needs female worker, co-author of this article, we will show that though the psychosocial feelings are essential to the social worker, they concomitantly need to be able to un-do them so as to use them as a material at the service of the relationship. The detachment experiences towards an emotion, towards sharing and the expression of a feeling, disclose an economy of feelings that allows giving sense, motivating and justifying the professional practices of social intervention despite their diversities. Wouldn’t their recognition allow giving new life to the professionalization of social work ? |
