| Summary, etc. | L’auteur a été rappelé en Algérie alors qu’il était étudiant à l’Ecole d’éducateurs spécialisés de Strasbourg (EES) en 1956. Dix ans plus tard, il a été embauché à l’EES comme formateur et enseignant, pour y rester jusqu’à sa retraite en 1997. Aujourd’hui, il intervient à l’ESTES, qui a succédé à l’EES, comme témoin du passé. Ce mot de « témoin » résume à lui seul sa place dans la nouvelle école avec son interrogation sur les comportements humains, interrogation née de son séjour forcé en Algérie. |

| Summary, etc. | The author was called back to Algeria when he was a student at the Strasbourg Special Education School (SES) in 1956. Ten years later, he was hired as SES trainer and teacher, and stayed there until his retirement in 1997. Today, he works at ESTES [School of Social Work of Strasbourg], which succeeded to the SES, as a witness of the past. The word « witness » sums up his place in the new school with his questioning of human behaviour, questioning which originated in his forced stay in Algeria. |
