| Summary, etc. | En s’intéressant aux définitions de l’itinérance qui guident l’intervention politique à son égard dans plusieurs villes canadiennes (Montréal, Québec, Ottawa, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver), cet article éclaire deux modèles d’intervention qui différencient la gestion sociale de l’itinérance, l’un accordant la priorité au logement et l’autre à la cohabitation dans les espaces publics. Cette analyse se conclut notamment par une réflexion sur les enjeux de normalisation des populations itinérantes que ces modèles soulèvent. |

| Summary, etc. | By focusing on definitions of homelessness that guide political intervention in its sense in several Canadian cities (Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver), this article sheds light on two intervention models that differentiate the social management of homelessness, one giving priority to housing and the other to cohabitation in public areas. Namely this analysis concludes with a reflection on the issues of standardization of homeless people that these models raise. |
