Summary, etc. | Le respect des droits des enfants, et en particulier leur participation aux décisions qui les concernent, contraignent les intervenants sociaux à prendre en compte, mais aussi à rendre compte de leur parole. Sous cet aspect, la figure du passeur permet de considérer, d’une part, le travail de médiation effectué par les éducateurs entre les sphères de socialisations dans lesquelles les enfants sont engagés et, d’autre part, de saisir les enjeux liés à la médiatisation de leur parole. A partir de deux exemples issus d’entretiens collectifs avec des enfants placés dans une institution socio-éducative, cet article vise à mettre en exergue les écueils et les dilemmes éthiques inhérents à la promotion de la participation dans le contexte du placement. |

In this respect, the figure of the smuggler makes it possible to consider, on the one hand, the mediation work carried out by educators between the spheres of socialisations in which children are engaged and, on the other hand, to grasp the issues related to the media coverage of their speech. Based on two examples from collective interviews with children placed in a socio-educational institution, this article aims to highlight the pitfalls and ethical dilemmas inherent in promoting participation in the context of institutionalisation. |
