Summary, etc. | Dans les établissements publics, l’impératif de modernisation se traduit souvent par l’introduction d’indicateurs de performance. Dans une recherche exploratoire, fondée sur une analyse documentaire et une série d’entretiens individuels et collectifs, nous nous sommes intéressés aux perceptions des agents quant aux effets sur le travail d’un modèle de pilotage de la performance chez Pôle Emploi. Conçu comme un vecteur de création de sens accompagnant le travail des agents, le modèle de pilotage les conduit parfois à perdre le sens de la mission, voire, quand ils s’inscrivent dans une application trop instrumentale du modèle, les confrontent à des situations de non-sens. |

Summary, etc. | In public organizations, the need for modernization often results in the introduction of performance indicators. In an exploratory research based on a documentary analysis and a series of individual and collective interviews, we look at Pôle Emploi agents' perceptions of the effects of a performance management model on work. Although it was conceived as a vector for the creation of sense guiding and supporting the work of agents, the performance management model sometimes leads them to lose their sense of mission. It even confronts them with nonsense situations when they apply the model too instrumentally. |
