| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | Whereas the use of cross-border labor is growing rapidly (> 21% between 1999 and 2012 in the Upper-Rhine (Insee, 2016)), the cross-border work relation remains a subject that has been little studied to date. Yet, the demanding working conditions (Garufo, 2014), induced by daily commuting fatigue combined with a high workload DeFranck et al., 2000), question the durability of the work relationship. The conceptual examination of work demands and resources (Bakker and Demerouti, 2007) on the satisfaction (Larouche et al., 1973) of cross-border workers provides the first descriptive answers. A qualitative study carried out with 29 cross-border managers from the Upper Rhine provides a deeper understanding of the process. Results mainly highlight the perception of work recognition related to remuneration, career path and hierarchical responsibility. |
