| Summary, etc. | Based on the professional life stories of 22 public secondary education teachers in France, this research aims to better understand well-being at work (WBW) for teachers. Our results show that the eudaimonic conception of WBW is based on overcoming materialism but also and above all has an allocentric aspect (in the sense of "being turned toward others"), which we propose to study in this article. We indeed see in the respondents' life stories that WBW is fueled not only by material and/or egocentric elements such as comfort or career and its consequences on remuneration, but also by non-material and allocentric elements. We then propose to enrich the currently known conceptions of WBW, by taking into account a new component of eudaimonic WBW: allocentrism in the service of collective well-being. On a practical level, the managerial implications of this enrichment are considered and discussed. |

| Summary, etc. | À partir des récits de vie professionnelle de 22 professeurs de l’enseignement public secondaire en France, cette recherche a pour objectif de mieux comprendre le bien-être au travail (BET) pour les enseignants. Nos résultats montrent que la conception eudémonique du BET repose sur le dépassement du matérialisme, mais revêt aussi et surtout un aspect allocentré (au sens de « tourné vers les autres »), que nous proposons d’étudier dans cet article. On constate en effet dans les discours des narrateurs que le BET est alimenté non pas seulement par des éléments matériels et/ou égocentrés tels que le confort ou la carrière et ses conséquences sur la rémunération, mais aussi par des éléments à la fois non matériels et allocentrés. Nous proposons alors d’enrichir les conceptions actuellement connues du BET, par la prise en compte d’une nouvelle composante du BET eudémonique : l’allocentrisme au service d’un bien-être collectif. Sur le plan pratique, les implications managériales de cet enrichissement sont envisagées et discutées. |
