| Summary, etc. | This study analyzes the dietary practices of people aged sixty-five and over, living at home, in an urban setting. It aims to give an account of the various experiences of ageing in relation to food. A purposive sampling method allowed for the selection of fourteen older adults in the municipality of Yopougon and seven in the municipality of Koumassi. In total, twenty-one interviews were carried out from September 18 to 25, 2023. Three major facts emerge from this analysis : Ageing and public health discourse influence the eating habits of older people ; there is difficulty accessing certain food products due to the decline in their purchasing power ; and family members who interact with older people play an important role in their ageing experiences, particularly regarding nutrition. These results are useful for the dietary management of older adults. |

| Summary, etc. | La présente étude analyse les pratiques alimentaires des personnes âgées de 65 ans et plus, en contexte de vie à domicile, en milieu urbain. Elle vise à rendre compte des diverses expériences du vieillissement dans le rapport à l’alimentation. Un échantillonnage à choix raisonné a permis de sélectionner 14 seniors dans la commune de Yopougon et 7 dans la commune de Koumassi. Au total, 21 entretiens ont été réalisés du 18 au 25 septembre 2023. Il ressort de cette analyse trois faits majeurs : l’avancée en âge et le discours de santé publique influencent les habitus alimentaires des personnes âgées ; une difficulté d’accès à certains produits alimentaires eu égard à la baisse de leur pouvoir d’achat ; les acteurs familiaux intervenant auprès des personnes âgées jouent un rôle important dans leurs expériences de vieillissement, notamment en matière d’alimentation. Ces résultats sont utiles pour une prise en charge alimentaire des seniors. |
