This democratic movement then spread to the entire national territory. This article proposes to analyze how the movement has lasted for over a year, staying true to its pacific endeavor, while referencing national history and showing reactivity in its slogans and demands. The article studies the Hirak’s place in the history of protest in Algeria and its sociology to explain its particularity.
