| Summary, etc. | Contexte : Des recherches pionnières du Pr Alfred Tomatis (ORL) ont abouti à l’introduction de l’audio-psycho-phonologie (APP) pour traiter, améliorer ou guérir des troubles neurologiques graves. Méthode : Nous présentons ici pour la première fois des données indépendantes relatives à la méthode APP avec des potentiels évoqués auditifs et une cartographie cérébrale basée sur l’EEG. Résultats : L’amélioration présentée par ces 4 patients ayant suivi un traitement par APP s’observe dans leurs courbes d’écoute et dans les résultats des cartes cérébrales par EEG ainsi que des potentiels évoqués auditifs. Conclusion : 1) La méthode par APP semble être un traitement efficace et inoffensif pour les patients présentant des troubles psychomoteurs et/ou neurologiques graves ; 2) Les potentiels évoqués auditifs et la cartographie cérébrale par EEG semblent être des examens appropriés pour démontrer les changements d’ordre neurologique après un traitement par APP. En plus de la présentation des 4 cas, la méthode est brièvement présentée. |

| Summary, etc. | Background: Pioneering research of Pr Alfred Tomatis (ORL) to the introduction of the audio-psycho-phonology (APP) to treat, improve or remediate severely neurologically impaired individual. Method: Here we present for the first-time independent data on to the APP method with auditive evoked potentials and EEG-based brain mapping. Results: The improvement of the 4 patients by undergoing APP treatment is shown in their listening curves as well as in the results of the EEG based brain maps and the auditory evoked potentials. Conclusion: 1) The APP method seems to be an effective and harmless treatment for patients with severe psychomotor and/or neurological dysfunctions; 2) Auditory evoked potentials and EEG brain mapping seems to be an appropriate examination to demonstrate neurological changes after APP therapy. Besides the presentation of the 4 cases, a short overview of the method is presented. |
