À l’inverse, l’Algérie a préféré l’ignorer pour préserver les acquis sociaux et moraux de sa jeune révolution. L’hostilité entre le Maroc et l’Algérie a empêché l’émergence d’une force régionale dont le tourisme aurait été le premier bénéficiaire. Pour le Maroc, plus qu’un secteur économique d’appoint, le choix du tourisme est avant tout une option hautement compatible avec la doctrine monarchique. C’est pourquoi il faut tenir compte des héritages historiques, des mouvances politiques et des composantes sociales du royaume pour discerner les choix politiques et économiques du royaume. |

The hostility between Morocco and Algeria has prevented the emergence of a regional strength from which tourism would have been the first beneficiary. For Morocco, tourism is more than a side economic sector, it is most of all an option highly compatible with the monarchy doctrine. That is why it is important to take into account the historical heritage, the political spheres of influence and social components of a kingdom to differentiate its political and economical choices. |
