| Summary, etc. | De même qu’il convient d’écouter et de recueillir la parole des vieux, il est intéressant de prendre connaissance des textes d’«écrivains» ordinaires écrits autour de la soixantaine ou plus tard, lorsque le sentiment du temps qui passe engendre le désir de transmettre aux générations suivantes. Nous avons interrogé douze auteurs sur leurs pratiques d’écriture: les différentes formes de l’écriture autobiographique prise au sens large, les motivations qui sont à l’origine de la démarche autobiographique, le lien entre l’avance en âge, le besoin de laisser trace et l’écriture de soi. Trois grands types d’«écrivains» ont émergé de la confrontation des discours oraux et de la lecture des textes: la figure du témoin, celui qui cherche à faire revivre le passé disparu dans ses moindres détails; la figure de l’introverti qui est d’abord tourné vers sa propre histoire et la figure du nostalgique qui se ressource dans l’évocation de sa jeunesse. |

| Summary, etc. | ORAL SPEECH, WRITTEN SPEECH, SENIORS AND WRITTEN SELF EXPRESSION Just as one should listen to, and gather up, the words of the elderly, it is also interesting to read the words of ordinary “writers” of about sixty and over who, feeling the rapid passage of time, wish to pass on their thoughts to the following generations. Twelve “authors” were questioned on their writing practices: the various forms of autobiographical writing in the large sense of the word, the motivation behind the autobiographical approach, the link between advancing age, the need to leave something behind and writing about oneself. Three broad types of “writers” emerge from the confrontation of oral speech and written texts: the witness who seeks to revive the past in minute detail, the introvert who is primarily concerned by his or her own story and the nostalgic who seeks solace in evoking his or her youth. |
