| Summary, etc. | Cet article analyse deux éléments clés de la situation politique dans la Russie contemporaine – l’eurasisme et le patriotisme – en les replaçant dans deux histoires parallèles. D’abord, l’histoire territoriale d’un espace sur lequel les populations slaves orthodoxes et turciques musulmanes cohabitent depuis l’apparition d’un embryon d’État. La prise en compte de la diversité ethnique et confessionnelle de la Russie permet de comprendre la diffusion d’une pensée eurasiste comme point de cohérence et la force de l’élan patriotique comme instrument d’unité. Ensuite, l’histoire des rapports entre la Russie et l’Occident, marquée de fascination et d’incompréhensions, et qui révèle la singularité de l’adaptation russe à la modernité. Ces deux éléments sont ensuite combinés autour de la question centrale de l’évolution du fédéralisme en Russie. La restauration par Poutine d’une pyramide des patriotismes (combinée à celle des allégeances) a marqué le début d’une libéralisation politique dans les régions (et notamment dans les républiques nationales de Russie). Que cette évolution « démocratique » atteigne désormais Moscou montre l’intérêt d’une étude du rapport centre-périphérie pour appréhender l’avenir du régime politique russe et la pérennité d’une « démocratie à la russe ». |

| Summary, etc. | From nomads to monads, Patriotism citizenship and national ideologies in multi-ethnical RussiaThis article analyses two key components of the political situation in modern Russia – eurasianism and patriotism – by replacing them in two parallel histories. Firstly the territorial histories of a land upon which slavic orthodox and turkish muslim populations have been living together since the appearance of the embryo of a State. Taking into account ethnical and religious diversity in Russia allows one to understand the spreading of a eurasian way of thinking as a middle ground and the strength of the patriotic fervor as a tool of unity.Secondly, the history of relations between Russia and the West, marked by fascination and misunderstandings and that reveal Russia’s peculiar adaptation to modernity. These two components are then combined around the central question of the evolution of federalism in Russia. Putin’s restoration of a pyramid of patriotism (combined with that of allegiance) has marked the beginning of political liberalization in these regions (especially in Russia’s national republics). The fact that this “democratical” evolution now has reached Moscow shows the reason for which a study of the centre-superb to apprehend the future of russian political regimen and the durability of “Russian democracy”. |
