| Summary, etc. | Les objets intégrant des TIC proposent de suppléer les déficiences des personnes âgées dépendantes maintenues à domicile, de les aider dans leur quotidien, de sécuriser leur environnement, d'informer et de rassurer leur entourage. La recherche « usage et non-usage des objets communicants » tente de comprendre les rapports que les personnes âgées entretiennent avec les objets qui les entourent, plus particulièrement avec les objets dits communicants . Le présent article aborde certains des points traités dans cette recherche : la nature de l’objet communicant pour les personnes âgées, l’importance du lien social dans le rapport de l'individu à l’objet et la relation de l’individu à l’objet à partir des expressions objet chaud et objet froid. |

| Summary, etc. | USING AND NOT USING COMMUNICATING OBJECTS AT HOME OLDER PEOPLE’S RELATIONSHIP WITH INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY Ojects including information and communication technology offer to counteract the deficiencies of dependent older people living at home. They help them in their daily tasks, secure their environment, and inform and reassure their entourage. Research related to “using and not using communicating items” seeks to understand the relationship which older people have with surrounding objects, in particular those known as communicating. The article broaches some of the issues dealt with in the research : the type of communicating object used by older people, the importance of social links in the relationship between the individual and the object and the relationship between the individual and the object based on hot and cold object expressions. |
