| Summary, etc. | La formation des adultes plus âgés devient un objet de recherche pertinent avec, d’une part, le vieillissement de la population et, de l’autre, l’augmentation du nombre des personnes retraitées dans nos sociétés. S’agissant d’un groupe fort hétérogène, on peut faire l’hypothèse que les besoins d’apprentissage divergent aussi par rapport à la phase de la vieillesse. L’article développe la problématique des besoins dans le contexte de la formation des adultes plus âgés pour proposer des éléments d’une conceptualisation. Dans un deuxième temps, la question des besoins d’apprentissage du public dans le grand âge sera approfondie. |

| Summary, etc. | SPECIFIC LEARNING NEEDS AMONG THE VERY OLD Education for aged adults is becoming a relevant field of research, given the overall ageing of the population on the one hand and the growing number of retired people in our societies on the other. Since this latter group is a very mixed one, it may well be that learning needs also diverge in line with the phases of the ageing process. This article explores the problematics of these needs in the context of education for aged adults, with a view to providing elements for its conceptualisation. It goes on to examine the learning needs of the very old in greater detail. |
