| Summary, etc. | Malgré des affinités rhétoriques et idéologiques indéniables, les trajectoires respectives des trois pays centraux de l’Alliance bolivarienne pour les peuples de notre Amérique (Alba) obéissent plus à des dynamiques internes qu’à la cohérence introuvable d’un projet stratégique de portée régionale. D’où un relatif déphasage entre le lent épuisement socioéconomique de la « Révolution citoyenne » de Rafael Correa et son implosion politique récente, le chemin sui generis vers l’apocalypse du Venezuela et le mélange de stabilisation réussie et de début d’essoufflement qui caractérise le gouvernement d’Evo Morales en Bolivie. Mais la concomitance de la crise vénézuélienne et des revers équatoriens avec la défaite de la coalition kirchnériste en Argentine et les déboires du Parti des travailleurs brésilien a accentué le désarroi d’une gauche latino-américaine qui peine à se confronter aux dérives autoritaires et aux impasses socioéconomiques de certains de ses représentants. |

| Summary, etc. | Despite undeniable rhetorical and ideological affinities, the respective trajectories of the three central countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (Alba) rely more on internal dynamics than on the dubious coherence of a supposedly common strategic project for the region. Hence a relative disconnect between the slow socio-economic exhaustion of Rafael Correa’s “Citizen Revolution” and its recent political implosion, the sui generis path towards the apocalypse of Venezuela and the mixture of successful stabilization and incipient fatigue that characterizes the Evo Morales government in Bolivia. But the coincidence of the Venezuelan crisis and Ecuadorian setbacks with the defeat of the Kirchnerist coalition in Argentina and the troubles of the Brazilian Workers’ Party has deepened the disarray of a Latin American left that is struggling to confront the authoritarian abuses and socio-economic failures of some of its representatives. |
