| Summary, etc. | Durant l’entre-deux guerres, en France, suite aux changements sociaux répercutés dans le champ littéraire, nombre d’écrivains, de critiques, de grammairiens s’interrogent sur la place du « peuple » dans la représentation littéraire. Non seulement sur le rôle des personnages populaires dans le roman, comme le suggère le mouvement populiste né en 1930, mais également sur celui de la représentation de la langue parlée par le « peuple ». Plusieurs solutions s’ébauchent et font l’objet de débats (Ramuz, Giono, Queneau), dont la plus audacieuse peut être décrite comme une nouvelle narration oralisée, sanctionnée par le succès de Voyage au bout de la nuit (1932), de L.-F. Céline. |

Not only about the popular characters, not only about the dialogues, but also about the techniques of narrative transposition of orality. Many solutions exist, and create violent debates between the critics and the writers. For example, Giono, Ramuz, Queneau or Cendrars use forms of oralisation in their narration. L.F. Celine is the most famous of these writers, because of the success of “Travel to the end of Night” (1932). |
