Summary, etc. | Mener une étude sur le potentiel expressif des jeux vidéo répond aujourd’hui à de nombreux enjeux, tant en termes de recherche fondamentale que de recherche « appliquée ». Le présent article souhaite délivrer des éléments de réflexions qui s’inscrivent dans cette double vocation, en présentant des pistes d’élaboration d’un cadre analytique du jeu vidéo en tant que moyen d’expression. Il s’agit de montrer comment l’exploration de ces pistes, au niveau théorique, peut trouver un ancrage dans des problématiques de conception, en prenant l’exemple du projet Keys of a gamespace (KOAG), jeu développé pour PC à l’initiative de l’auteur de l’article. |

Summary, etc. | Understanding and developing the expressive potentialOur study on the expressive potential of video games addresses a range of topical issues in both fundamental and “applied” research. This article offers material for reflection in both of these directions, by describing approaches for the development of a framework for analysing video games as a means of expression. We show how theoretical explorations in these directions can stem from design issues, taking the example of the Keys of a gamespace (KOAG) project, a game developed for PCs on an initiative from the author of this article. |
